New consultation on EU Funds in the area of investment, research & innovations, SMEs and single market

In January 2018, the European Commission launched a series of public consultations clustered by key policy areas, in preparation of the EU’s next long-term budget post-2020 (MFF). Citizens, organisations and businesses can give their views online until 8 March 2018. NESSI has decided to reply to this public consultation.

NESSI will express its support, providing inputs to the European Commission especially on research actions and technology matters of particular importance to the software domain, aiming to enable the software and services sector to bring the EU added value of EU R&I programmes. NESSI will underline and highlight that Europe needs to master the innovation cycle of key technologies that will allow people, businesses and governments to succeed and to seize the opportunities of the future. Enterprises in Europe are constantly facing challenges and will have to rely on innovative and advanced software in order to be able to adapt to these changes. It is important for NESSI’s vision to play an important part in this process.
